RearCue support
Your script, your pace, your best take. Help for version 1.0.
Getting started
Choose a script, open Studio, and press Rehearse. Adjust pace, type size, and mirror mode. Enable the camera to record a take. The app works with a local script library even when iCloud or camera permissions are unavailable.
Using the outside screen
On supported devices with iOS 27.1 or later, open Duo and use Studio on the inner display. Enable capture, then use Show script or Hide script for the outside display. Other devices use the on-screen reader.
Sync and workspaces
Connect iCloud in Workspaces & sync on each device using the same Apple Account. Copy device scripts to Personal if you want those local scripts uploaded. Invite collaborators from an owned creator workspace using its sharing button. For delayed updates, check iCloud sign-in, free iCloud storage, and connectivity, then choose Sync now. If you see an editing conflict, a recovered copy preserves your words.
Importing
Browse Files and installed providers, paste, scan, use the Share Sheet, or send text through Shortcuts. Public HTTPS links are supported; private documents need an export or file-provider access. DOCX, text, Markdown, Fountain, selectable PDF, RTF, HTML, SRT/VTT, and images are supported. Limits: 10 MB per file, 100,000 script characters, 200 PDF pages, 20 scan pages, and 40 megapixels per OCR image. Always review imported words.
Recording and voice pacing
Check Camera and Microphone permissions if capture cannot start. Voice pacing also needs Speech Recognition and a supported on-device language. Actual 1080p/4K and 30/60 fps availability depends on your camera. Keep enough device space for videos. The Studio format label shows the selected format. Videos remain local; save important takes to Photos or Files.
Privacy and your data
Export this workspace’s scripts in Workspaces & sync. Delete scripts or local takes from their menus. Manage participant access through Apple’s sharing sheet. See the privacy policy for cloud storage and exported copies.
