Privacy policy

Effective October 9, 2026. RearCue is provided by Omer Khan. This policy describes the version 1.0 app.

Scripts and preferences

Scripts and prompter preferences stay in the app on your device until you choose Connect iCloud. Connecting iCloud uses Apple CloudKit to store scripts, workspace information, and prompter preferences in your Apple Account. Personal scripts are private. Creator workspaces share scripts with the people you invite, with the permissions selected in Apple’s sharing controls. The app has no public script database or developer-run account service.

Recordings, microphone and speech

Camera and microphone access are requested when you enable capture. Recordings and take metadata are stored on the recording device. The app does not automatically sync videos through CloudKit. Voice pacing requires supported on-device speech recognition and does not send speech transcripts to a developer server. Device backups, Photos, and exports follow the settings and services you choose.

Imports and text recognition

Files imports access documents you select. Clipboard access follows your Paste action. Image recognition and scanning run on your device. Importing a public link contacts the website you enter, which may receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address. Connected file providers and source websites have their own privacy policies. Share Sheet and Shortcuts imports are temporarily held in the app’s shared import inbox for your review.

Data collection and tracking

RearCue contains no advertising, analytics SDK, tracking, data sale, or developer-operated database for app content. Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy practices. Apple’s optional crash reporting and device backups follow your Apple settings. If you separately contact support, we receive the details you choose to provide to respond to your request; do not send passwords or private scripts and videos unless necessary.

Subscriptions

Apple processes subscription purchases and billing. RearCue checks Apple-signed transactions on your device to determine Pro access. We do not receive your payment card details or upload purchase receipts to a developer server. Your purchasing Apple Account controls restoration across devices and may differ from your iCloud account. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple Account settings. Canceling does not delete your app content.

Access, export and deletion

Export the selected workspace’s cached scripts from Workspaces & sync; sync first for the latest cloud content. Share individual scripts and takes using their menus. Delete scripts and local takes from their menus. Script deletions in a connected workspace sync when network access is available. Use device library stops synchronization without deleting the cloud copy. Workspace owners can manage participants or stop sharing using Apple’s sharing sheet. Manage remaining app iCloud data and device storage through Apple settings. Copies already exported or saved by other people are under their control. Uninstalling the app removes its device container but does not itself delete cloud content.

Permissions and choices

Rehearsal does not require camera or microphone access. You can change Camera, Microphone, Speech Recognition, and Photos permissions in iPhone Settings. iCloud sync is optional. The app does not request access to contacts, location, or an advertising identifier.

Changes and contact

We will update this policy if the app’s practices change. For privacy questions or data requests, contact info@buildsprig.com.
